Colleen C. McCulloch is a native of Parkersburg West Virginia.  She holds a BSBA from West Virginia University School of Business and Economics and a J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law.  She attended both undergraduate and law schools on academic scholarship.  While in law school, she served on the student board of editors for the Journal of College and University Law and the West Virginia Law Review.  She served as Senior Managing Editor of the West Virginia Law Review for 1986-87.

Colleen began her legal career in 1987 in Dallas, Texas with Jenkens & Gilchrist, where she practiced in the Asset Based Financing and Bankruptcy divisions.  She was admitted to practice before Texas state courts, the federal district courts for the Northern and Eastern districts of Texas and was a member of the Texas and Dallas Bar Associations.  She later joined Wyche Story Henderson, a Raleigh, North Carolina firm where she continued to represent creditors, trustees, and creditor committees in bankruptcy as well as reorganizing debtors.  In North Carolina, Colleen was admitted to practice in the state courts and the Eastern and Middle districts of North Carolina and was a member of the North Carolina State and the Wake County Bar Associations.  Ultimately, Colleen returned with her husband and children to Scott's hometown of Beckley, West Virginia where she has resided for the last decade.  She is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and the federal district courts for the Northern and Southern districts of West Virginia.  She is a member of the West Virginia State and Raleigh County Bar Associations.

In addition to her practice, Colleen has been active in community non-profit organizations, having served on the Board of Directors of Theatre West Virginia, where she was Secretary for three years and the Board of Directors of the Raleigh County Chapter of the American Red Cross, which she chaired for four years.  She served as Chair of the West Virginia State Service Council of the American Red Cross and received the State Leadership Award in 2003.  Colleen is an active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where she has served on the development committee and is active in lay ministries.  She has also served on the Grants Committee of the Beckley Area Foundation.  She currently is a member of the West Virginia State Bar Committee for the Unlawful Practice of Law and a member of the Board of Directors of Black Knight Country Club.  A certified scuba diver for over forty years, Colleen enjoys all water sports and is a certified water safety instructor.

Colleen has taught as an adjunct professor in the legal studies department of the School of Business at Mountain State University and has lectured her peers in child abuse and neglect law and guardian/conservatorship law.

A widow, Colleen is the proud mother of Kristen, who lives and works in Charlotte, NC, Ian, a student at West Virginia University, and Olivia, a student at Woodrow Wilson High School.  Colleen lives in Beckley with Olivia and their golden retriever, Sandy and weimaraner, Charlie.  She joined Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC as a member in 2008.
