Jennifer L. Clancy joined the Palmisano Law Group as an Associate Attorney in September, 2011 and is currently a Partner. Jennifer attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a major in Political Science and a minor in Women's Studies. She later earned her law degree from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of the Women's Legal Forum and the Notre Dame Legal Aid Clinic.
A native of Oak Lawn, Jennifer is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Will County Bar Association. She is also a lifetime member of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity.
During her time at Notre Dame, Jennifer participated in the launching of the Pro Bono at NDLS Program where, in conjunction with the Family Justice Center of St. Joseph County, she assisted victims of domestic violence in the South Bend community obtain Civil Orders of Protection against the perpetrators of abuse. Jennifer continued her service to victims of domestic violence in the summer of 2009 as a Rule 711 Student Attorney at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in Chicago.
At the Notre Dame Legal Aid Clinic, Jennifer represented clients on both sides of guardianship proceedings, including family members wishing to become the guardian of an incapacitated loved one as well as disabled persons seeking to remove a guardian who didn’t fulfill the duties of the position.
Jennifer uses her passion for family law to zealously advocate for her clients and counsel them through an emotional and challenging time in their lives. At the Palmisano Law Group, Jennifer concentrates her practice on the complex issues that arise in family law matters including custody, visitation, child and spousal support, business valuations and the tracing of marital assets.
In 2014, Jennifer was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers. This honor was the result of her ability to litigate contested matters involving child custody, financial support, determination and allocation of assets and debts, division of retirement assets, and other complicated matters that arise at the Trial level, including complex evidentiary issues.
